NPWT Unit Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy( NPWT) is a medical device system that promotes wound healing by delivering negative pressure (a vacuum) at the wound site through a patented dressing and therapy unit creating an environment that promotes the wound healing process.
This negative pressure helps draw wound edges together, remove wound fluids and infections materials and promote granulation tissue formation (the connective tissue in healing wounds).
System Components:
NPWT system is an advanced wound therapy system consisting of two parts:
The NPS2000 NPWT unit that delivers negative pressure.
The NPSD1000 dressing kits that are placed in the wound and connects to the NPWT unit.

Easy Operation Save Time
Large canister minimizes canister changes
Canister is easily removed and replaced
Long battery life-enable patient to be mobile for a full day
New Pad simplifies dressing changes
Greater Patient Comfort
Lightweight and portable, this system helps patients return to work and daily activities
Potentially reduces the number of dressing changes and nursing visit over traditional wound care
Carrying strap allows discreet delivery of therapy on the go
New filter system helps minimize wound odor
Adjustable rate of dressing draw down for increased patient comfort
Alarms help ensure patient safety
At just over 850g, the lightweight NPS2000-S system can be taken almost anywhere and worn in its carrying strap over the shoulder or around the waist.
The new Pad technology provides accurate pressure sensing at the wound site, delivering consistent therapy.
NPSD1000 Dressing Kits
The NPSD1000 dressing kits include:
1 Pad tubing, 1 White Foam Dressing, 1 Drape
The foam goes on or inside a wound.
One end of the tubing connects to the dressing. The other end connects to the canister that fits into the therapy unit.
The wound area is sealed with the Drape with adhesive that helps maintain negative pressure over the wound.
White Foam Dressing
This white polyvinyl alcohol foam is a dense, open-pore foam with a higher tensile strength for use in most type of wounds.
It is hydrophilic (or moisture retaining) and is packaged pre-moistened with sterile water. Its characteristics help to reduce the likelihood of adherence to the wound base, thereby, reducing the need for additional interposing materials.
The White Foam Dressings may be used to assist in minimizing discomfort, over fresh split thickness skin grafts (STSG), or in situations where hyper granulation responses are likely.
The higher density of White Foam Dressings requires a minimum pressure setting of 125mmHg.
Indication:
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy has been used with many types of wounds including:
· chronic burns
· pressure ulcers
· chronic wounds
· acute wounds
· surgical wounds
· neuropathic and diabetic wounds
· explored enterocutaneous fistulas
· leg ulcers
· traumatic wounds
· fasciotomy wounds from compartment syndrome
