 Introduction

These multi basket strainers and bag filters offer a wide range of flow capacities and contaminant-holding capabilities. They contain from 2 to 23 baskets.

To serve as a strainer, a unit is ordered with perforated stainless steel baskets (mesh-lined if desired). When ordered as a filter, it’s fitted with perforated stainless steel baskets designed to hold disposable or cleanable filter bags. Industry-standard size bags are used: the standard 30 inch baskets accept bag size 2, the optional 15 inch baskets take size 1.

The standard pressure rating for all models is 150 psi. All housings can be supplied with an ASME code stamp, if required.

In addition to traditional felt and mesh filter materials, we provides bag filters utilizing specialty woven, melt blown and other non-woven media for such uses as oil absorption or food compliant, high efficiency applications. We also offer the finest bag filter housing in the industry.

Working principle

Bag type filter is a pressure filtration device,which is mainly consists of filtration cylinder, cylinder cover and fast open structure, stainless steel strengthen filtration bag, and etc. When filtrate flows from side entrance of filter shell intothe pipe bag, the bag itself is installed inside theenhanced basket, liquid penetrates bag with required fineness grade that can be provided with qualified filtrate, impurities and particles were intercepted by bag. It is very easy to replace the filter-bags, there is hardly no material to be consumed.

Filter housing CONSTRUCTION:

The multi-round vessels are designed for operating up to 10 bar (150 psi) at 149° C (300° F). The housing design provides a large sump area at the bottom of the basket for particulate accumulation. This design utilizes the filter more efficiently and prolongs the element life.

The 316 SS baskets seal onto a buna o-ring to eliminate particulate bypass between the basket and seat. Optional mesh-lined strainer baskets and o-rings are available.

A vent in the housing lid and a drain port in the housing speed evacuation and filling. Gauge ports are located on the body of the housing to install gauges for monitoring the differential pressure across the bag. Permanently piped housings are opened with simple tools without disturbing the piping. Swing bolts with eye-nuts allow easy opening and closing of the swing-lid. No need to remove any hardware.

As a standard finish, all vessels are blast cleaned and painted inside and out with a 2-part epoxy. Stainless steel vessels are supplied with a satin finish.

 Size type

Bag filter is divided into three categories: single bag filter, multi-bag filter and sandwich type filter. multibag filter, it is suitable for large flow rate filtration. Nos. of bag could be from 2 bags to 24 bag, completespecification for all capacity,flange diameter of water inlet-outlet connectionis DN40 - 450 mm, capacity of single unit filter could be 90-1000 m3 / hr.

Quick-opening design can be considerable as it is very convenient for bag replacement. Also applicable for selection that changing the filter bag after a long time operation. Multi-bag type bag filter is with big measurement and heavy weight, which is difficult to be operated by one worker,one rocker arm device is designed on this filter, it can reduce labor cost and meet the customers’ requirement.

 Operation instructions

Simple operation, it just required that qualified micron filter bag be installed in the filter basketstrainer, check working condition of the O shape sealing ring , then tighten the ring bolt of filter cover to start working. After pump is started, the pressure gauge will slightly rise, initial pressure is around 0.05Mpa,as the working time increases, the residue inside the filter housing will increase gradually, when pressure raches 0.4Mpa, the filter must be stopped working and operator should open the filter cover to check the residue in the bag, replaceable filter bag could be continue used (generally,washed bag filters could be repeated use). It is appropriate that filter pressure be setted at 0.1-0.3Mpa , but it could be adjusted through the return line or return valve on pump ,it is important that high working pressure will damage the filter bag and protection strainer.
