MolyWorks Titanium Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al Powder for Additive Manufacturing Custom Particle Size Distribution

MolyWorks Titanium Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al is an environmentally friendly, near-beta titanium alloy desired for its exceptional toughness and high fatigue strength. Applications for Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al include aircraft components such as landing gear structures and high performance vehicle assemblies, which benefit from the alloy’s light weight, strength, and damage resistance.

Printed Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al can have mechanical properties comparable to wrought Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al, assuming equivalent chemistry, microstructure, and porosity. After printing, a hot isostatic press is typically performed to minimize residual porosity, followed by a solution treatment and aging step (AMS 4984) resulting in a high strength condition.

MolyWorks Titanium Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al is suitable for a variety of additive manufacturing technologies, including: powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, electron beam melting, cold spray, binder jet, ultrasonic welding, and metal injection molding.
This pre-alloyed powder can be used for printing parts with complex features, and it has moderate recyclability (assuming suitable control over oxygen can be achieved). Furnaces with a reduction capability enable high recyclability in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al.
