In experiments using obese rats, the two partners confirmed that sesamin substantially lowers the level of blood sugar. Details of the joint research were presented at the 14th Meeting of the International Atherosclerosis Society, held in Italy from June 19 to 22, under the title of "Sesamin reduced blood glucose concentrations in Zucker fatty rats".
