The difference between the first grade high alumina brick, the second grade high alumina brick and the third grade high alumina brick
What is the difference between special grade, first grade, second grade and third grade high alumina bricks:
(1) Different aluminum content, high temperature resistance and use temperature, such as three-stage high-aluminum brick fire-resistant temperature >1750 °C, use temperature of about 1400 °C (can not exceed the load softening temperature for a long time), fire resistance of special-grade high-aluminum brick Temperature > 1790 ° C, the use temperature is above 1550 ° C.
(2) The compressive strength and bulk density are different, and the high bauxite clinker raw materials used are of different grades. The high alumina bauxite clinker is also divided into various grades according to the aluminum content, such as special grade, B, etc., second grade, third grade, etc., the aluminum content is different, the impurity content is different, and the performance of the high alumina brick is also different. The molding pressure and firing temperature of the production process are also different. The higher the aluminum content, the higher the bulk density, the lower the porosity, the higher the compressive strength, and the stronger the friction resistance.
(3) Different thermal shock resistance. Due to the increased aluminum content, the higher the strength of the high alumina brick, the long-term contact with the high temperature flame or solution, but it is not suitable for the parts with frequent temperature and temperature changes or intermittent operation, because the fluctuation of temperature will lead to the brick surface of the high alumina brick. Cracks are generated under the action of cold and thermal stress, which destroys the service life of high alumina bricks. Therefore, the lower the aluminum content, the higher the thermal shock resistance. Among the high-aluminum bricks, the three-stage high-aluminum brick is excellent in thermal shock resistance.
(4) The high temperature main crystal phase is different. With the increase of aluminum content, some aluminum alloys undergo some chemical changes in high temperature, which will form a glass phase or crystal structure. The high temperature main crystal phase of the special high alumina brick is mainly corundum phase and a small amount of mullite phase. The high-alumina brick is mainly composed of mullite phase and a small amount of corundum phase. The second-grade high-aluminum brick is mainly composed of mullite phase and glass phase, and the third-grade high-aluminum transition is mainly composed of low mullite phase and a large amount of glass phase. From this, it can be seen that the high temperature resistance of high alumina bricks varies greatly depending on the main crystal phase.
Five special properties of high alumina bricks
Compared with clay bricks, high alumina bricks have the outstanding advantages of high refractoriness and load softening temperature. With the increase of Al2O3 content, the slag resistance performance is significantly improved. In particular, high alumina bricks have the following properties.
(1) Refractoriness
The high-aluminum brick has higher refractoriness than clay bricks and semi-silica bricks, reaching 1750~1790 °C, which is a high-grade refractory material. The degree of refractoriness is mainly affected by the content and type and quantity of Al2O3, and the refractoriness increases with the increase of Al2O3 content.
(2) Load softening temperature
Because the high aluminum product has high Al2O3, low impurity content and less fusible glass body, the load softening temperature is higher than clay brick, but the mullite crystal does not form a network structure, so the load softening temperature is still not high.
(3) Thermal conductivity
High alumina bricks have better thermal conductivity than clay bricks. The reason is that the glass phase of the high aluminum product has a low thermal conductivity, and the number of mullite and corundum crystals with better thermal conductivity increases, which improves the thermal conductivity of the product.
(4) Thermal shock resistance
The thermal shock resistance of high alumina bricks is between clay products and siliceous products. The water cooling cycle at 850 ° C is only 3 to 5 times. This is mainly due to the fact that the thermal expansion of corundum is higher than that of mullite, and there is no crystal transformation. At present, the thermal shock resistance of the product can be improved by improving the granular structure of the product, reducing the content of the fine powder, and increasing the critical particle size and particle gradation of the clinker.
(5) slag resistance
High alumina bricks contain more Al2O3, close to neutral refractory materials, and can resist the erosion of acid slag and alkaline slag. Because of the SiO2 content, the ability to resist alkaline slag is weaker than that of acid slag. In addition, the slag resistance of high aluminum products is also related to the stability of the product in the slag. In general, articles having a lower porosity have a higher slag resistance after high pressure molding and high temperature firing.
Workshop corner
1)Raw material to factory→checkout→burdening→stirring→mixing→taking out the raw material,
2)Crushing→Mixing→Shaping→Drying→Firing→Inspection→Packaging and Shipment.
2.Quality Assurance
1)Going out the furnace→checkout→packing→qualified product→putting in storage→sale,
2)The process from raw to product are strictly tested by equipment.
1.Inspection and Control of incoming raw materials: according to the chemical content, raw materials are classified into different levels to ensure quality of brick first.
2.Inspection and control of the process: during the production, every brick will be weighed twice strictly to reduce the error of weight .
3.Quality audit by quality management: inspection of product standardization of quality of each product by process control and experimentation, taking corrective measures timely whenever deviations are noted.
4.Before delivery, the inspectors will inspect the size, appearance, physical and chemical properties of brick again in factory.
