This "hair softener"*1 can be added to your regular shampoo and treatment in the same way fabric softeners are added to dry and hard towels to soften them. By delivering moisture to your hair and keeping it well hydrated, this hair softener will give you soft and smooth hair while providing it with water-soluble compounds that are essential for healthy hair.*1 Formulated with moisturizing ingredients [honey and a urea derivative (hydroxyethyl urea)] and advertized based on the purported effects and efficacy of cosmetic products in Japan.

●Instructions
After shampooing, drain excess water from your hair and apply an amount of softener equivalent to the size of a 500-yen coin to the sections of your hair that feel dry while gently massaging it for around 10 seconds. Follow up by applying the treatment from the middle to the ends of your hair, and rinse off thoroughly.
You can also apply the softener from the roots of your hair.
●Effects
For hair that has become stiff due to dryness and environmental damage → The urea derivative attracts moisture, which is locked in by the Manuka honey. → These ingredients combine to keep your hair well hydrated, giving you soft and smooth hair.
To verify the effects of the softener: Apply it to a radish, rinse off the product, and check the softness of its surface.
●An experiment:
Apply the product to a radish, rinse it off, and check the softness of its surface.
1. Apply 1g of the product to the surface (a single side) of a radish that has been sliced into quarters.
2. Leave for 30 minutes.
3. Rinse off the product.
4. Measure the moisture content with a simple instrument.
5. Try bending the radish.
6. Check again after 6 hours (measure the moisture content with a simple instrument).
●Results
・Using the hair softener on the radish greatly enhanced its softness as compared to using water and treatment only. While the moisture in the radish decreased after 6 hours when only the treatment was used, the same level of moisture was maintained with the simultaneous use of the softener.
