Features and advantages of borosilicate.
1. Will straw break when put it into hot water?
No.
High heat-resistant borosilicate glass, instant temperature difference: -20 ℃ -150 ℃, boiling water is 100 ℃, because of the special material Pyrexglassware, to put straw directly into boiling water or into frozen refrigerator for 12 hours is not a problem.
2. Can the straw be put into microwave oven?
Yes.
Heat resistant borosilicate can stand a temperaturer for 800℃, so no problem to put it into microwave oven, and don't worry it will break. It will not break at all.
3. Will it break when dropping?
Yes, it will But still much much stronger than common soda glass ones.
Like any other glass products, borosilicate glass is also fragile, and also will broken when droppign from top situation. Which is by the physical properties of the glass of the decision. But resistant borosilicate glass products, compared to conventional soda-lime glass, the molecular structure more closely, just a smaller thickness can achieve better strength, generally a thickness of about 1.1mm, feel light, still strong durable. Therefore, the general bump will not cause the damage.
