1 Working Principle
Scattering nephelometry technique applied to the determination of the liquid in the antigen-antibody reaction, it is measured
based on the incident light in the scattering intensity of the scattering particles (antigen-antibody complexes).
Here are several scattering phenomenon:
—Reyleigh theory of Scattering:
When the particle diameter is less than the wavelength of the incident light, the light scatters in all directions evenly
—Reyleigh-Debye/Mie theory of Scattering
When the particle diameter is more than the wavelength of the incident light, the light basically scatters forward
