Light Green Color Epoxy Paint for Pools and Water Tanks 

• Ktisepox Piscine is an Epoxy pool coating (two-components) that protects surfaces swimming pools and water reservoirs from water ingress and chemical abrasion.
  
• This product is resistant to acids, alkali, and oils. The pool coating is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater.
  
• KTISEPOX PISCINE can be applied on a variety of surfaces such as cement mortar, pool tiles, cement mortars, and old epoxy surfaces, etc.
  
• It is not advised to apply directly on concrete foundations, but rather have the foundations waterproofed first with a cementitious slurry.
  
• Prior to applying the pool coating we strongly recommend that you prime the surface with Ktisepox Hydro PR.
  
• When applying on tiles make sure that all gloss and coating of the tiles have been removed before attempting to coat over.
  
• In order to prolong the lifetime of the epoxy paint, we strongly recommend to always keep the pool filled with water. If the pool is not in use, covering the pool will maintain the pool coating for a longer period of time.
  The coating requires re-coating every 2-3 years. The product is available in white color, light blue (5012) as well as dark blue (5013)

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• KTISEPOX PISCINE can be applied on a variety of surfaces such as concrete, plaster, cement mortar surfaces, tiles, old epoxy surfaces, etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION

• Thorough surface preparation is critical in order to ensure maximum adhesion and optimal results. The substrate should be grinded by mechanical means. Acceptable methods are diamond- or sand-grinding machines, etc. Before applying the primer. The surface must be completely dry, free of loose material, dust, oils, greases, etc. If there are oils or other chemical materials they must be removed either by additional grinding or by using special cleaning detergent.
• When applying KTISEPOX PISCINE on bare concrete, it is strongly recommended to apply two layers of elastic cement based slurry in order to improve waterproofing properties.
• When applying on fresh concrete, ensure that the concrete is at least 28 days old, before priming and applying KTISEPOX PISCINE.
• When applying on tiles, ensure that the tiles are ground enough to remove all shininess.

PRIMER

• The surface must be primed with KTISEPOX PR before applying KTISEPOX PISCINE. The KTISEPOX PISCINE system can be applied once the primer is dry. The drying of the primer depends on environmental as well as substrate conditions (3-12 hours).

Filling Cracks and joints

• Cracks and holes should be repaired with KTISODUR G epoxy putty and let at least 12 hours to dry. Before applying KTISEPOX PISCINE the filled area should be lightly sanded and cleaned. If quick curing times are required to use polyester putty (approx. drying time 15-20 mins.) instead of epoxy putty.

Preparing KTISEPOX PISCINE

• The contents of buckets A and B need to be emptied in a third barrel or bucket. It is important to empty all the content of both buckets and ensure that all thick material stuck to the bottom of the bucket is also mixed. The mixing of the two materials needs to be consistent (with a mixer) and should last for at least 3-4 minutes at 300rpm. Scrappy or “lazy” mixing can lead to improper curing of the material and as a result, some areas of the epoxy surface will stay “soft” and never harden properly.

Applying KTISEPOX PISCINE

• The mixture (KTISEPOX PISCINE A + B) should be applied with a roller or with an airless spray gun. Apply at least two layers of the material. The second layer should be applied within 12-24 hours. If more than 24 hours have passed before the second layer is coated, then the surface should be roughened up with a sanding machine (to ensure better adhesion) and be cleaned of all dust and dirt.
  Recommended CONSUMPTION
• For every layer of KTISEPOX PISCINE expect to consume at least 0,250 kg/m².
• Actual consumption may be higher depending on the quality of the surface.
