These crucibles offer high temperature strength and high melting point. Platinum offers oxidation resistance in air and oxygen; and corrosion resistance in acids and melted salts. Protect your investment with platinum tongs that reduce possible damage and scratches to platinum crucible when hot. Manufactured in standard form. Lids, crucibles, and tongs sold separately. 

 

Don't be too hard when using platinum crucible, otherwise it will be out of shape. 

Don't touch carbon when using platinum vessels, otherwise will make platinum. embrittled. Keep it clean and bright when using the platinum crucible.

 

Note: When using platinum vessel, pls support the use of stainless steel crucible tongs

These conventional crucible tongs have been fitted with 99.95% Pure Platinum Shoes and are available in various lengths.

Although Platinum Crucibles and Dishes are made to withstand extreme temperatures and are resistant to many acids and corrosive media, they can be damaged due to careless handling.

It is therefore recommended that Platinum Crucibles and/or Dishes be handled with Platinum Tipped Tongs while placing in and removing from a hot furnace.
