Introduction to SCHOTT BOROFLOAT® 33:
BOROFLOAT® 33 is a high-quality borosilicate glass with good characteristics and a wide range of uses.
It is produced by the SCHOTT Jena Glass Company using the micro-float process. The borosilicate glass produced by this technology has uniform texture, good surface flatness and good optical properties.
Basic performance of BOROFLOAT® 33:
·Good light transmittance, low fluorescence intensity and high ultraviolet and infrared transmittance
·Low thermal expansion coefficient, strong thermal shock resistance and long-term working temperature up to 450℃
·Good chemical stability, high resistance to corrosion by water, strong acid, strong alkali and organic substances
·Scratch resistance, high hardness and density can be 20% lower than ordinary soda lime glass
·Low alkali content, can be used as an excellent electrical insulator
