Scope of Application
It is suitable for the formation of channels in percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) minimally invasive surgery to restore the height of the vertebral body and form a bone cement perfusion cavity. Indications are vertebral compression fracture that are caused by osteoporosis in the middle-aged and elderly, and the posterior edge of the vertebral body is intact and there is no nerve damage.
Using Step
General vertebroplasty surgical steps:
* Puncture under fluoroscopy.
* Pull out the needle core to change the guide wire.
*Withdraw the sheath.
*Expansion cannula puncture up to the posterior 1/3 of the vertebral body.
*Cut the skin into the working sleeve.
*Knock or rotate into the cortex with a hammer.
*Pull out the guide wire and expansion sleeve, leaving the working sleeve.
*Insert the tip of the drill through the cannula to 3~4mm behind the anterior edge of the vertebral body (at least up to the anterior 1/3 of the vertebral body).
*Take out the drill and insert the unexpanded balloon through the working tube to the front of the vertebral body.
*Injecting contrast medium to expand the balloon.
*Deploy bone cement and push in bone cement.
