J type  Thermocouple compensation wire:

Thermocouple compensation wires include K type, J type, E type, T type, N type. Now, we will introduce J type thermocouple compensation wire for you.

Type J thermocouple ( Fe-CuNi) is also named Fe-Constantan thermocouple.

Positive leg NiCr(KP) : Fe: pure iron 

Negative leg CuNi(KN): Ni: about 45%  Cu: about 55%

Although its negative leg is called Constantan, it  doesn't give the same EMF output curve as EN and TN. It cannot be changed by EN and TN. 

The operating temperature range of type J thermocouple is -210~2100oC, but it is usually used in the temperature range 0~750oC due to embrittlement of Iron.

Type J thermocouple has good resistance to oxidation and high EMF output against Platinum 67, with good temperature accuracy, sensitivity and stability. It is recommended for vacuum, oxidizing, reducing or inert atmospheres, but it can not be used in sulphurous atmosphere above 500oC.
