Many mold systems require heat as part of the manufacturing process. In the plastics industry, heaters are the key ingredient to maintaining temperature of the molten plastic. The plastic flows through the mold base, sprue nozzle, manifold, into a die head, or through an injection barrel. Without heat, the mold or machine is useless. Insulation is a key to heater life and performance.
Ceramic Band Heater was made of stainless steel sheet, mica sheet, resistance wire/ strip , stainless steel sheet standard thickness is 0.3mm to 0.5mm, and in the middle , resistance wire/ strip wrap around the mica sheet, and add 1-2 pieces mica sheet again each side for insulation.
