The infrared sensor is composed of a transmitting module and a reflective plate. The transmitting module will emit a beam of infrared rays. The infrared rays will be reflected back when they hit the reflective plate. If something is blocked, the receiving end will not receive the return signal, so the built-in relay will be turned on disconnect.
