Technical Data
Red oxide is used in paints and primers as a rust preventive. If traces of rust are present on an iron surface, red oxide paint will still adhere, because it interacts with the surface by forming chemical bonds.
It's widely used in steel, bridges, hulls, pipes, etc. It is especially recommended for substrates that do not meet the requirements of zinc-rich primers, but can remove loose floating rust to achieve a sandblasted Sa2 grade or a dynamic rust St2 grade steel surface.
It dries fast and cures to a very durable finish that is water and weather resistant. Excellent adhesion, strong surface adaptability, tough and wear-resistant paint film, water resistance, acid and alkali resistance.
