Description of AM290-35
The AM290 Wheels are designed to take on any challenge and handle the toughest of trails, yet light enough for all-day riding. They've been ridden all over from the Red Bull Rampage to World Cup circuits. Year after year they've proven themselves to be the go to Wheels for all-out performance. With a deeper profile and reinforced carbon rim walls, the new AM290 offers improved impact strength with a minor weight gain. The AM290 is composed of 32 (easily replaceable standard) Sapin spokes front and rear, making it durable and extremely reliable. The Novatec Hub(D-swis available) Features faster engaging and is available in multiple configurations to fit nearly any type of bike, making it one of the best trail, all-mountain and enduro wheelsets available.
Wider tires roll faster, and are more comfortable, than narrow tires. The tubeless ready, 30mm inner width of the AM290 is optimized for use with modern, wider tires, providing them with the right amount of sidewall support to facilitate surefooted handling in all conditions. At a depth of 25mm, the AM290 rim is a great handling, lively climbing.
With two main goals in mind—long life and easy serviceability—we looked to Novatec . The AM290 uses an ultra-reliable, rapid engagement Novatec star-ratchet freehub for smooth power transmission and long-term dependability. Similarly,Novatec Competition spokes were chosen to lace hub to rim, and finished with brass Pro-Lock nipples.
