Pressing
Pressing has always been an important part of obtaining high- quality products that meet market requirements. Way back in 1962 CEP produced hydraulic motor presses with a counter pressing system in which the piston pushed from the bottom up. To date, as a result of 52 years of experience in the wine industry, it is able to offer the following solutions:
Vertical presses mod Sirio
The Hydraulic Vertical Presses Mod Sirio are the result of maximum technological expression and Design for Modern oenology, exploiting the best of tradition. It uses the Pascal principle "pressure exerted at any point of a liquid which is transmitted with equal intensity in all directions". Therefore exerting pressure on a small-surface piston, the latter will be transmitted onto a plate. This surface pressure is further increased said according to the ratio between the surfaces. The maximum pressure between the models varies from 8 to 10.2 kg/cm2 and the pressure can be adjusted via an electrical contact pressure gauge or Touch-Screen PLC treating the product in a "Soft" manner. The grapes or marcs are processed without suffering cellular breakdown at the various pressing stages (without the production of lees). They are designed to enhance the quality of pressing both for white grapes and for the marc of red grapes intended for prestigious and maximum naturalness wines which are able to grow qualitatively in the bottles for many years and be among the top products on the market. The plunger in chrome-plated steel, with cages with lever closing or with hydraulic lifting via lateral cylinders, the support frame mounted on wheels and the removable wheeled trolleys or pallets for fork-lift truck, the large must collection tank entirely in Aisi 304 stainless steel as standard on all models make the pressing action of this appliance easy, rapid, traditional and unique.
All the Sirio models can be equipped with the following Optionals:
Pressing plate covered in Aisi 304 stainless steel
Double hydraulic pump with
fast-approach push-button panel
Trolley centring plate in Aisi304 stainless steel already
standard on all models
Nylon drain discs
Fabric filter bags
The Sirio models are divided into three versions:
Mod SIRIO is the traditional model equipped with wooden cage
with painted steel wheels
Mod SIRIO C is equipped with wooden cage with
Aisi 304 stainless steel wheels
Mod SIRIO X is equipped with a fully Aisi304 stainless steel cage
Pressing
Vertical presses Mod Sirio 130-150
With the Mod Sirio 130-150 presses we set out to integrate the strength of tradition with technological innovation thereby integrating good results with practicality and simplicity.
Following the wine literature CEP brings an important innovation into the field of Vertical Hydraulic Presses that boast an essential added value by considerably reducing pressing times, thereby facilitating movement of the pressed marcs.
The novelty consists of an automatic drainage system of the marc in addition to a fork liftable drainage basin.
In summary, it is no longer necessary to open the cages at the end of the pressing cycles and to drain the marcs manually as the cage is closed and is raised by the lateral cylinders mounted on the upper part of the frame. As a result, the "shape" of the pressed marc remains on the must collection basin.
This basin is framed in such a way that it can be moved with a fork-lift truck so that the marcs can be taken directly to the storage area and the grape loading stages can be rapidly resumed.
