Matricaria chamomilla, commonly known as chamomile, German chamomile, Hungarian chamomile, wild chamomile, blue chamomile, scented mayweed, is an annual plant of the composite family Asteraceae.Chamomile essential oil, made from chamomile, is also a popular health and pharmaceutical product. Chamomile has been shown to help with sleep, relieve inflammation and pain in patients, and relieve insomnia caused by neurotic skin itching. In some parts of China, it is also cultivated in large quantities to make tea.

Function:

1. Spasticity: Chamomile decoction can inhibit the contraction of rabbit intestinal tube and guinea pig bronchial tube in vitro, reduce tracheal secretions, chamomile extract apiin and apigenin (apigenin) have moderate spasticity on smooth muscle.

2. Anti-inflammatory effect: lanxiang oil has antibacterial effect, chamomile volatile oil also has a certain bactericidal effect.

3.Chamomile extract can shrink the lower limb blood vessels of toad. It has the effect of delaying and increasing pressure on rabbits. It has antipyretic effect on febrile rabbits; It can promote the healing of ulcer in mice and enhance the function of reticuloendothelial system in rabbits.

4. Lowering blood lipid: After feeding for 4 weeks, the extract of chamomile can play a significant role in lowering blood pressure and lowering blood lipid, which is related to the large amount of flavonoids in the water-soluble extract of chamomile.

5. Antibacterial effect: Chamomile extract can inhibit the activity of Staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus and Candida albicans.
