The product in the picture is produced by injection molding. It is incorporated in the tip of the catheter for circulatory system organs.
The purpose of this product is to allow X-rays to permeate so that cardiologists may check where in the blood vessels the catheter is located.
At our company, we keep special compounds (base materials x barium sulfate) as a stock material, allowing the possibility to lower the material costs in manufacturing. Also, we use cassette molds in the production of prototypes, so we are able to reduce the cost for molds and shorten delivery time. Our molding costs are about 2/3 of the usual metal mold prices and our delivery time is 10 days shorter than when metal molds are used.
