It is also used as a buffering agent for strong mineral acids to increase their pH, as a food additive, and as a de-icing agent.

Jinchangsheng has its own research center and production base. The research center is located in the High-Tech Development Zone in Shijiazhuang, covering an area of 1000 sq. meters.
