The material is fine and porous, the particle size and shape are usually irregular, the particle diameter is only a few microns, the texture is loose, the surface area per unit weight is very large, so the false density is very small, the specific surface area is very large, and the absorption capacity is very strong, cAN ABSORB MORE THAN 2 ~ 3 times its own weight of liquid. The content of Sio 2 is 90% , the specific gravity is 2.0 ~ 2.3 G/CM 3, the texture is soft and easy to grind into fine powder. It is often used to prepare high concentration masterbatch, physical property improver, dispersant and flowability improver. It is an ideal carrier for wettable powders because of its large specific area, strong absorbability, soft texture, easy grinding into fine powder, and low packing density, which can improve the suspensibility of wettable powders. The chemical composition of diatomite is: 73 ~ 91% SIO2; 2 ~ 10% al2o3; 0.1 ~ 2.0% CAO; 05 ~ 2.0% fe2o3
