Carbomer 676 940 U21 U20 2020, CAS NO. 9003-01-4, white loose powder;Have characteristic slight odor;It's very hygroscopic.Also
known as Kapum 676 940 U21 U20 2020, it is an acrylic crosslinking resin obtained by cross-linking pentaerythritol and acrylic
acid. Kapo resin exists in water in the form of acid, and is easy to expand in water and polar organic solvents (such as ethanol,
glycerin, etc.).It contains a polyenyl polyether crosslinked acrylic polymer with 56 to 68 percent carboxylic acid groups in the
molecule, making these resins weakly acidic, less than acetic acid, but readily reacting with inorganic and organic bases to form
salts.It is a very good rheological modifier due to its swelling and weak acidity. After neutralization, kapo resin is an
excellent gel matrix with properties of thickening and suspension, etc. Its simple process and good stability are widely used in
emulsions, creams and gels. It is characterized by short rheological property, high viscosity, high clarity, low ion resistance and shear resistance. Its
functions in products are mainly reflected in three aspects: thickening, suspension and emulsification.Kapo 676 940 U21 U20 2020
produces a large viscosity at very low levels (0.25 -- 0.5% at normal dosage).Cabo resin can be used as an excellent suspension
agent to make insoluble components permanently suspended in the system.It can also be used as an emulsifier to emulsify and
stabilize the oil/water phase.In addition, it is also the transparent matrix of cosmetics and pharmaceutical adjuvant matrix, is
also an effective water-soluble thickener.
