Catgut plain sutures are absorbed by enzymatic hydrolysis and starts loosing tensile strength from 12-15 days on implantation.
Catgut plain sutures are absorbed extremely fast and elicit very minimal tissue reaction.
Sterilized by sterilizing fluid containing EO.
