Heavy Duty CNC Railway Underfloor Portal Wheel Lathe

• This lathe is mainly used for flange,tread and inner surface of wheel set with 1520 wheel distance.The wheels have to be disassembled to fix wheel flange and tread.
• It is composed of bed,headstock,CNC tool rest,lifting jack,hydraulic system,electrical system and lubrication system.CNC system is SIEMENS 828D(or customize).Feeding system is driven by AC servo motor.

Main Parameters of Underfloor Wheel Lathe

• The lathe adopts separate transmission.Left and right chucks drive the wheel set at the same time.There`re two set arc claw on each chuck to clamp the wheel set.
• Longitudinal and transverse travel of left and right tool rest is driven by AC servo motor.Automatic operating can be realized by inputting diameter of wheel set and other parameters.
• Tool rests are from Sweden Sandvik,high quality and low cost.When processing inner surface of the wheel set,tool should be changed into end surface tool.
