Quartz tube or fused silica tube is glass tube consisting of silica in amorphous (non-crystalline) form. It differs from traditional glasse tube in containing no other ingredients, which are typically added to glass to lower the melt temperature. Quartz tube, therefore, has high working and melting temperatures. The optical and thermal properties of quartz tube are superior to those of other types of glass tube due to its purity. For these reasons, it finds use in situations such as semiconductor fabrication and laboratory equipment. It has betterultraviolet transmission than most other glasses.
Advantage of Quartz tube/pipe:
1)High purity :SiO2> 99.99%.
2)Operating Temperature: 1250℃; SoftenTemperature: 1730℃ .
3)Excellent visual and chemical performance:acid-resistance,alkali resistance,Good thermal stability
4)Health care and environmental protection.
5)No air bubble and no air line.
6)Excellent electrical insulator.
