SP(styrenated phenol) is one main type of nopolluting antioxidant especially suitable for light and colourful rubber products such as shoes, rubberized fabric, latex sponge, etc. It is easily dispersable and can be used in both synthetic rubber and natural rubber such as BR, SBR, IIR and so on. It owns medium protecting effect with cheap price. It has relatively high repellance to heat, oxygen, light, radiation, weather and bending, etc. Furthermore, it can be also used as resin antioxidant especially suitable for polyolefin, polyformaldehyde, PP and so on. Pure SP is light yellow to amber colour viscose liquid, for convenience we usually use inorganic carrier like white carbon black and calcium carbonate to adsorb and make into powder form types call SP-P and SP-C. The common usage of SP is 0.5-3 phr(if over 2 phr then needs to add antiblooming agent).
