E.cottonii can be used for the manufacture of ice cream, chocolates, custards, cake topping and fillings, milkshakes, yogurts, dessert gel, canned foods, fish gel, sauces, and many others.
Furthermore, carrageenan which is made from E.cottonii is also used in the manufacture of waterbased paints, toothpaste, lotions, shampoos, and beer.
