Model 2 rail strain gauge scales. The scales are made of the customer's existing operating rails without construction work, cutting, drilling or other mechanical intervention. A set of strain gauges is attached to the existing rails to measure the deformation of the rail under the pressure of the wheels. Based on the measurements, the program calculates the wagon weight and loading symmetry. The sensors are mounted between the crossties without interfering with the track structure and stopping traffic.
The system is equipped with two GigE machine vision cameras. Pictures of cars are taken at the moment of passing the scales and stored in a local folder on HDD and available for viewing from the weighing software. Cameras can be mounted at a distance of 2 meters or more, depending on the object used. One camera captures the side number and the other camera captures the frame or bogie number of the car. Cameras and lenses are selected for each object individually.
Type:
Model 2 rail scales for weighing in motion consist of two measuring lines (load receptors), each LR includes two independent wheel load measurement units (WLMU) connected to each other, and two machine vision cameras for car side photofixation. The LRs create two independent data sources and in case of failure of one LR, the other LR will remain functional.
Car numbers recognition system:
The cars are photographed by GigE machine vision cameras mounted on one side of the car, one camera captures the side number, and the other camera - frame or bogie number.
The cars are photographed by IP-cameras mounted on both sides of the car. Photos of the car with numbers are transmitted by the weighing software to the neural network based machine vision controller for autonomous car number recognition. After that the photos are processed by the machine vision controller, and the result returns the character values of the number to the weighting software. The authenticity of the car number is determined by preset recognition threshold and the checksum. Additional equipment of the car numbers recognition system is installed close to the weighing computer. The system guarantees recognition accuracy up to 98% when using one type of cars. Recognition is made at speeds up to 40 km/h. It may be necessary to use spotlights for better operation. Spotlights are purchased and installed by the buyer, depending on the conditions and the speed. The best photo quality is achieved at speeds up to 20 km/h.
Measurement and inaccuracy:
Error within 2% when weighing at 1 to 10 km/h, error within 5% when weighing at 10 to 40 km/h, transit speed is not limited. Error and speed may vary depending on the particular track section.
