Carbonization working principle and stages

A .Drying stage:
After ignition, the combustion furnace is as high as 160 degrees. This stage is also a stage of humidification. It mainly depends on the heat generated by external combustion to dehumidification. The chemical composition of logs or other raw materials has hardly changed.

B. The initial stage of carbonization:
This stage mainly depends on the external calorific value, and the furnace temperature rises to 160 ~ 280 ℃. In this case, wood thermal decomposition begins, the composition changes. The components are unstable, such as carbon dioxide decomposed by hemicellulose, and a small amount of acetic acid and other substances.

C. Complete carbonization stage:

The temperature: 300 ~ 650℃. At this stage, wood thermal decompose fastly, wood materials generates a lot of acetic acid, methanol and wood tar and other liquid products. It also produces a lot of combustible gas and heat, the stove temperature rises, and the rods carbonized at high temperatures.
