Tips

All electronic rack & pinions must be installed by a dealership or a qualified technician if you don't have the experience,proper tools. Mechanical centralizing to your vehicle and angle sensor zero point caliberation of our eps is required according to the guide.Failure to not program rack and pinion to your vehicle, will cause the rack to not work properly.

Steering gear rack must be centered before installation relative to the steering wheel.This will ensure that the steering wheel angle to each side of center is equal.Failure to do so will lead to DTCs and improper operation of the unit.

All Diagnostic Trouble Codes related to the Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment must be cleared before starting calibration.

The Steering wheel must be kept centered during the torque sensor zero point calibration.

After zero point calibration is completed normally,confirm that no Diagnostic Trouble Codes have been stored.If a related DTC is present,go thru the diagnostic steps to clear the DTC.
COMMON SYMPTOMS of a failing Electric Power Steering

A catch or bind going into or coming out of a turn in either direction.

Intermittent high pitched screeching noise similar to the sound of a motor being actuated.

Vehicle has a tendency to wander requiring the driver to make frequent and random and steering wheel corrections to either direction.
