Description:
0.5mm ZIF (zero insertion force) FPC/FFC connectors with a robust, ruggedized design. These FPC/FFC connectors have a robust flip lock actuator which is supported either end of the connector by reinforced metal fittings. The actuator is held down by a hook at each contact point along its whole length ensuring a secure connection and preventing the actuator from disengaging. When the actuator is fully closed, it produces a tactile click to confirm it is firmly locked in place. These FPC/FFC connectors feature side catches for use with tabbed FPC. The positioning tabs on the FPC slot inside these catches allowing it to be accurately aligned and positioned. When the actuator is locked down the tabs act as a strain relief and increase the retention force of the FPC.
