DHK™ 554(Finishing Agents)

Use

For low formaldehyde wash- and wear-finishing for textiles made of cotton, rayon, Lyocell and blends acc. to ecological standard (Ökotex-Standard 100). Permanent press effect by post cures finish.

Properties

–      contains very low amounts of free formaldehyde and, therefore, provides for low odor in finishing

–      provides fabric with low formaldehyde content according to all common testing methods, especially Japanese Law 112 and AATCC-112

–      gives good resistance against creases and shrinking

–      the finish effects are fast to washing at boil

–      has normally no influence on fastness to light of reactive and direct dyeings and prints

–         provides a good degree of whiteness in combination with optical brighteners

Technical Data

Appearance :slightly viscous, clear liquid

PH-value:approx.Dissolving
procedure :dilute with cold water; alkaline water affects finishing results and, therefore, must be neutralized with acetic acid prior to use.

Shelf life:at least 1 year in closed original containers at 20 °C. Frost-stable to - 40°C whereby thickening may occur. After warming up to 20 °C and stirring, the product is ready to use.

Application

The use concentration depends on the effects required and the fabric used.

100 % cotton (shirts, blouses):

60 - 80 g/l DHK 554

  5 - 15 g/l DHK 273

10 - 20 g/l DHK 247

10 - 12 g/l magnesium chloride crist.

Polyester / cotton (shirts, blouses):

30 - 60 g/l DHK 554

10 - 20 g/l DHK247

  5 - 15 g/l DHK 273

  6 - 10 g/l magnesium chloride crist.

Rayon-satin:

100 - 150 g/l DHK 554

          40 g/l DHK 247

          15 g/lDHK 480

  15 - 22 g/l magnesium chloride crist.

drying:               110 - 120 °C

curing:                150 °C / 3 - 5 min

shock drying at 160 - 170 °C is possible; a drying time of 30 - 60 sec depending on catalyst and fabric weight is necessary.
