Q: What kind of wall surface can we use the water-based whiteboard paint?

A:  This product is suitable for any smooth surfaces or painted surfaces which do not drop powder, clean and smooth, including smooth drywall, desktop, masonite, door, glass, ceramic tile, cements, wood and metal etc. If apply whiteboard paint on plaster wall, due to the surface of plater wall is not smooth enough and has strong water absorption. Before painting whiteboard paint, must apply sealer/primer to the wall to ensure a smooth surface.

Q : What kind of markers can I use on UCI Whiteboard Paint?

A: UCI Whiteboard Paint works with any Waterbased marker pen or writing instructments. For example, dry erasable marker pen, pigment drawing pen, water powder, water shadow, water solutable chalk etc.. Oily marker pen is not suitable for this wall.

Q: What kind of pens can't be used?

A: Oily pens, Oily marker pens are not allowed to be used. Pencils and ball pens with sharp tips are not allowed to be used as well, because the sharp tip will cause damage to the paint surface. 

Q: Is the Whiteboard paint safe and environmental friendly?

A: Yes, of course, UCI whiteboard paint is water-based, the major raw materials is imported from Germany. When painting this product to the wall, it is low odour, this product passed SGS and Reach testing.

Q:How many coats do I need to apply when I paint the wall with UCI whiteboard paint?

A:It is required to paint 2 coats to ensure the wall is evenly covered by the whiteboard paint. After mixing A and B, paint first coat with about 2/3 of paint , and wait for about 2 hours for second coat. The interval time beween the two coats depends on the weather condition. If the weather is very dry and with good ventilation, do not need to wait for 2 hours, the best way to decide whether it is time to paint the second coat is that, after first coat, wait for 30 minutes, and use your finger to touch the wall surface, if the whiteboard paint do not stick to your finger, that means the wall surface is dry, then you can paint the second coat, if

the paint stick to your finger, then needs to wait until it is dry.

Q:Why should I apply primers / sealers before applying UCI Whiteboard Paint?

A:If the wall surface is smooth, primier and sealer is not necessary. If the wall is not smooth enough, Primers and Sealers help give a surface a smooth finish. Secondly, they act to 'seal' a surface. This means that when you apply UCI Whiteboard Paint on a surface that has been primed / sealed, the properties within our whiteboard paint will stay on the wall rather than be absorbed into the wall. In summary, using a primer or sealer means you will get a smoother surface with optimum write-on wipe-off functionality.

 Q:After how much time can I use the UCI Whiteboard Paint-ed surface?

A:For safe reason, we suggest leaving the wall dry for 5 - 7 days, before start to write on the wall. DO NOT write on the wall before the wall is dry.The dry time also depends on the weather, if weather is dry and with good ventilation, 3 days is enough. Before write on the wall, sugges to test on the edge of the wall.

Q:How should I clean and maintain my UCI Whiteboard Paint-ed surface?

A:Erase it with a micro-fiber cloth. To accelerate or enhance the cleaning process, use our Clean-off Cleaner. Spritz a small amount on the area to be cleaned and wipe with a micro-fiber cloth. Then wipe with a towel saturated with water to remove any residue. Using a paper towel, dry the surface and you’re ready to write. 

Q:How long will UCI Whiteboard Paint last?

A:With proper maintenance and normal wear and tear, UCI Whiteboard Paint retains its dry-erase ability for 5+ years indoors before you ever need to recoat the surface. It’s guaranteed not to crack, peel, stain, yellow or fade with proper use and maintenance.

Q:How can I remove UCI Whiteboard Paint from a surface?

A:If you ever find that you do not need your UCI Whiteboard Painted surface, you can simply paint over it just as you would do any painted wall. Lightly sand the surface, prime and then paint.
