Polylactic acid (PLA) is made from corn, cassava and other crops by microbial fermentation and extraction, which is then refined, dehydrated, oligopolymerized, pyrolysis and polymerized.PLA has excellent biodegradability. It can be completely degraded by microorganisms in the soil within one year after being discarded to generate CO2 and water, without causing pollution to the environment.
