Braking Resistor for Yuanxin VFD/ Frequency Inverter
Braking resistor is a necessary part for VFD system when the application require fast stop.
The motor will act as generator during stop causing the VFD DC bus voltage incraese to dangerous level, so it's necessary to release this regenerated power via braking resistor.
We offer 3 types braking resistors for our VFD
1. Wire wound resistor, this is most widely used braking resistors. With good cooling capacity and very cheap cost. The resistor wire is naked, may cause damage during operation. Besides, the resistor may get damaged during shipping, as it's body is made of ceramic tube;
2. Aluminum housed resitor, this is also very popular type braking resistors. The resistor wire is protected by aluminum case, much more safer than wire wound resistor. But the cost is much higher than wire wound type. Typical application for aluminum resistor, CNC machine, elevators, crane travel;
3. Stainless Steel Resistor, this type is mainly used for port crane or place with harsh environment and humid air. Stainless steel resistor is more durable while with much higher cost. The typical application for stainless steel resistor is port crane, steel mill etc;

2.Resistance values: from 1Ω to as high as 10 KΩ( to 100 KΩ on request);
3.Temperature Coefficients: 50,100 and 400ppm/°C or as required;
