Screw Type Sand and Water Separator Technical Description

Main structure

1.The driving unit use s shaft-amounted reduction box connected with screw axis. On the top of sand convey chute, supporting bearing is installed. This bearing device is waterproof and dustproof and is convenient for lubrication and maintaince.

2.Diameter of screw axis is Φ280mm. using shaftless screw ensures smooth material conveying.

3.Screw sand conveying chute is U-shape section, spiral chute diameter is 320mm, installation angle is about 25°. The feed port is open and other parts are sealed with covers. Disassembly mode is used. Discharge port is set at upper part which is 1.75m above the ground.

4.Screw sand conveying chute is integrated with water tank. It has enough strength and rigidity, no leakage. The overall structure is supported by profile steel fixed on the concrete foundation.

Working principle

Sand and water mixture from the sand-basin enters into the sand and water separating chute where water overflow and sand settle down. Rotating screw axis convey sands along the 25° spiral chute to top discharge port. During the conveying, further separation is made to ensure water content of sand at discharge port is not more than 60%.

Reliability and durability of the equipment

1. Mean time between failures of the equipment is over 20000 hours.

2. Service life of the overall machine is over 25 years.

3. Maintenance for the equipment shall be made once per year; service life of reduction box and bearings must not be less than 15 years; service life of electrical devices is note less than 5 years.
