Product Description
EH trip manifold include three parts:
1) HP trip module
HP trip module mainly consists of 4 HP solenoid valves, 2 pressure switches, 2 orifices and an integrated package. At normal conditions, all the 4 solenoid valves are energized, which will form a HP trip oil pressure, on condition that the mechanical trip valve of trip & isolating group valve has been closed, and unloading valves for all the actuators are in the closed status. When it is necessary to trip the turbine, the 4 solenoid valves will all be de-energized, to discharge the HP trip oil and to quickly close all the valves.
2) Overspeed limit integrated package
The overspeed limit integrated package is mainly composed of 2 solenoid valves, 1 check valve and an integrated package. At normal status, the 2 overspeed limit solenoid valves are both de-energized, to form the overspeed limit oil pressure, on condition that the HP trip oil has been formed, and the dump valves of all control valve actuators are in the closed status. When load rejection and 103 perecnt protection is required, the 2 solenoid valves are both energized, to discharge the overspeed limit oil pressure and quickly close all the control valves.
3) HP pressure switch assembly
HP pressure switch assembly is composed of 3 pressure switches and some accessories, to monitor HP protection oil pressure, and its functions are: During reset of the unit, the pressure switch assembly sends the signal whether HP protection oil has been formed or not to DEH, DEH makes it a condition that whether reset is successful or not. When unit is tripped, the pressure switch assembly will give signal to DEH which will feed back order to HP trip module for de-energization to discharge HP trip oil and to quickly close all the valves, to avoid an ineffective trip when emergency trip device can’t act.
