It is insoluble in most solvents at room temperature. Application
EBS is used as a lubricant in many thermoplastic thermosetting plastics. It has good internal and external lubricity, mold release and smoothness during molding polishing and injection molding. In the process of calendering, extrusion and hollow molding, it can accelerate melting, reduce melt viscosity, save processing energy, increase product toughness, extend mold life, and give products a good appearance. Mainly used for polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, also used for phenolic and amino plastics, and as a release agent, anti-sticking agent, antistatic agent and surface treatment agent for plastics and In the rubber industry. In addition, it can also be used as a pigment dispersant in plastic color masterbatch products, a melting point riser for edible oil products, a lubricant and anticorrosion agent for metal wire drawing, a potting material for electrical components, a defoamer and paper coating in the paper industry Layer composition and so on. The usual amount of EBS in plastic processing is 0.5-2.0 parts.
