Wire mesh demister is also known as mist eliminators or sprays, it is a kind of high efficiency vapor- liquid separation device, used throughout all kinds of process industries, to remove liquid droplets from gas and/or vapour streams.
How a mist eliminator works:
Step one: a vapor stream carrying entrained liquid droplets pass through a pad. The vapor moves freely through the knitted mesh.
Step two: the inertia of the droplets causes them to contact the wire surfaces and coalesce.
Step three: the large, coalesced droplets formed in the mesh ultimately drain and drop to the vessel bottom.
Product Materials
AISI201, 202, 301, 302, 304, 304L, 321, 316, 316L, brass, copper, titanium, Alloy 20, monel, nickel, galvanized, iron, nylon yarn, glass fiber and plastic (PP, PC,PE,PVC,PTFE).
1. Structure simple, weight light.
2. High factor of porosity, low head loss.
3. Great contact surface area, high removing foam ratio.
4. Convenience of installing, operating and repairing.
5. Long service life.
Mesh mist eliminators are widely used in: oil, chemical industry, light industry, medicine, metallurgy, aerospace, shipbuilding, environmental protection engineering distillation, evaporation, absorption process in the gas-liquid separation, gas-water separation; machinery and equipment for oil and gas separation.
