THE DAMASCUS STEEL USED FOR THE BLADE IS 200 LAYERS OF HIGH CARBON AND LOW CARBON WELDED/FORGED AND HAMMERED SEVERAL TIME TO OBTAIN UP TO 200 LAYERS.THE HARDNESS OF THE BLADE IS UP TO 58 TO 60 HRC ON ROCKWELL SCALE,IT WILL HOLD SHARP EDGE FOR REALLY LONG TIME. AND IT IS MEANT TO HOLD SHARP EDGE FOR ROUGH AND TOUGH USE.
