Product Description

All oil-soluble additives are dissolved and mixed into the blended oil tank. An aqueous phase solution with all water-soluble additives (may/may not contain milk solids) is prepared separately in an aqueous tank. The oil phase and aqueous phases are dosed into two emulsion mixing or production tanks. Blending into the emulsion mixing tanks is done by either load cells or mass flow meter controlled by PLC with a touch screen. The blending algorithm is based on the sophisticated technology used and proven by Unilever Canada.

The oil emulsion is fed into the first chilling cylinder/ Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger (SSHE) to lower the temperature to the desired exit temperature. Each SSHE unit is equipped with an individual flooded direct evaporative cooling system using the USA made Parker components. The cooled oil emulsion is pumped via a high-pressure positive piston pump to the first pin worker unit for proper conditioning for further chilling. The second chilling cylinder chills the oil emulsion to the desired exit temperature to ensure proper solid content in the product.

There are three downstream options:

1. The product passes to the large volume resting tube for puff pastry product.

2. The product passes into the small volume resting tube for table margarine.

3. The product passes into another pin worker and texturizing valve to provide the necessary texture for tub or bulk margarine packaging.
