1. Definition of Conveyor Cover

Conveyor belt cover is also known as rain-proof cover, color steel rain shield, conveyor rain cover, conveyor dust proof cover, belt shield, etc.. The cover plays a great role in the material handling and the environment protection. When the material is under transportation, it can reduce the loss and waste of the materials, making the conveyor belt safer and more reliable in the transportation process. In addition, it also extended the service life of the conveyors.

The conveyor belt cover can be widely used in mines, cement plants, power plants, paper mills, steel mills, sand and stone mining plants, limestone yards, waste treatment plants, ports, docks, coal mines, chemical plants and other industries. The conveyor cover has a fixed type, an open type and an observation window type, which can clearly see whether the materials under transporting and the conveyor belt under running are working normally . There is also a deviation cover to protect the conveyor with a deviation switch from rain and dust pollution

4. Material and Colors of Conveyor Cover

The conveyor cover is usually made of color steel plate, stainless steel plate, color coated aluminum alloy plate, galvanized steel plate with a thickness of 0.4-1.5mm. Mainly  have sea blue, white grey and red color, but can do customized on other colors.

6. Conveyor Cover Installation Features

• No matter it is in China, or other overseas countries, like Europe and Latin America, the laws are already in place, and strongly request the conveyor belt is enclosed with a protector cover. Because an inappropriate application of  belt may lead to occupational health and safety hazards and accidents, include material falling away during the transportation, hit ting and badly injuring workers. There is also existing the potential risk that workers are dragged or entrapped into the transporting belt by clothing, hair and other loose elements 
• In the four types of conveyor rainproof cover, the fixed cover and the closed cover are made of galvanized corrugated steel plate or color coated steel plate. Generally, there are 9 fixed covers and 1 closed cover in every 10 cover positions, and the two covers can be arranged alternately.During installation, the closed cover is pressed on the left and right two adjacent fixed covers, and the coincidence length is one or two wave distances.Note that the hinged side of the open cover shall be placed on the non-passing side of the conveyor, while the side with the lock shall be placed on the passing side of the conveyor.
• The frame of the fixed conveyor cover is connection angle steel or Z-beam steel, whose length is equal to the installation length of the conveyor cover. Weld the connection angle steel or Z-beam to the channel or small angle on both sides of the conveyor frame. If the supporting sngle steel is to be installed, first weld the supporting angle steel on both sides of the frame, and then weld the connecting Angle or Z-beam on the supporting angle steel.
• Install the rainproof cover from one end of the frame to the other end in the shape of "product". It is strictly prohibited to stand on the cover during installation. Do not strike or knock forcefully
• The conveyor cover is fixed to the connecting angle steel or Z-beam steel with self-tapping nails,  with not less than 4 fixing points per piece
• Install one observation type conveyor cover every 10 pieces for an easy maintenance and check.
• he folding point cover is only used at the folding point of the convex arc of the conveyor, and the misalignment switch cover is specially designed to cover the  misalignment switch. Both are covered on fixed type covers
