Steel Strip Acid Pickling Line

Acid picking line is one of the important procedures in cold rolling steel strip production, the aims of acid pickling are to remove the ferric oxide existing in steel strip surface, adjust weight of each coil, shear off chapped edge, and to obtain qualified raw material for the next coming cold rolling process. According to the technology, acid pickling can be sorted into push-pull and continuous modes.

Push-Pull Shallow Trough Turbulence Acid Pickling Line

The feature of push-pull pickling line is to undertake each steel coil pickling separately, to be no need of welding, and to start up with push and then pull steel strip. Usually this kind of pickling technology is suitable to that annual capacity is lower than 600,000 ton, however our company adopts advanced shallow trough turbulence push-pull technology and the annual capacity is up to 1,000,000 ton, with the advantage of smaller location, less investment, more simple equipment, more convenient operation, easier maintenance, and well-adapted for various type of steel strip. It’s well suitable for small and middle-sized cold rolling plant.

Main Parameters:

Production capacity: 200,000- 600,000 tons annually (depend on the needs of customer, Max. capacity is 1,000,000 tons annually at present)

Raw material: hot rolling carbon structure steel, high quality carbon structure steel and low alloy steel coil, silicon steel;

Thickness of strip: 1.5-5.5mm

Width of strip: 700-1,350mm (when less then 600mm, semi-continues method will be adopted)

Processing speed: 30-180m/min (depend on the needs of output)

Coil weight: Max. 25 tons

Processing technology: push-pull shallow trough turbulence acid pickling

Energy: water, electricity, steam

Process Flow

Main equipments in process flow as follows:

Manually loading → entry saddle → coil loading trolley → pre-decoiling (floor roller) → decoiling scraper → 3-roller pinch straightener → anti-bend roller → decoiler → decoiling pinch machine → vertical guide roller → 5-roller pinch straightener → crosscut shearer → vertical guide roller → acid pickling trough → washing trough → edge blowing device → hot air dryer → looper pinch machine → pit type looper → vertical guide roller → pinch centering machine → circle shearer → waste edge recoiler → 3-roller tensioner → crosscut shearer → vertical guide roller → exit pinch machine → recoiler (EPC) → coil unloading trolley → rear part pressure roller → exit saddle → manually unloading
