Application
Activated carbon is a kind of specially treated carbon, which heats the organic raw materials (fruit shell, coal, wood, etc.) under the condition of isolating air to reduce the non carbon components (this process is called carbonization), and then reacts with the gas to erode the surface and produce the structure with developed micropores (this process is called activation). Because the activation process is a micro process, that is, the surface erosion of a large number of molecular carbides is pitting erosion, so there are numerous small pores on the surface of activated carbon.
