Mode of Action |
Insect growth regulator which acts as an anti-moulting agent by inhibiting chitin formation, leading to death of the larvae and the pupae or to non-motile adults. Uses Control of Heliothis, Spodoptera, Bemisia tabaci and other chewing insects on cotton, and Plutella, Thrips and other chewing insects on vegetables. Also used on fruit, potatoes, ornamentals and tea. |

Toxicity Data |
Chronic Toxicity: No studies have been undertaken on the product. Reproductive Effects: Chlorfluazuron did not interfere with reproduction in animal studies. Teratogenic Effects: Chlorfluazuron did not cause birth defects in laboratory animals. Mutagenic Effects: Chlorfluazuron has not been shown to cause changes in living cells. The results of all tests for reverse mutation, aberrant chromosomes and DNA repair were negative. |
