Product Description
Canadian Standard Freeness Tester is used for measuring the rate of drainage of pulp suspensions and expressing it in terms of canadian freeness. The rate of drainage is related to the work done on the fiber during beating and refining.It’s widely used in testing of pulping process in papermaking industry, the formulation of the papermaking process, and various paper pulping experiments of scientific research institutes.It is a primary tool in the evaluation of the characteristics of pulp and an indispensable measuring instrument for the study of pulping and papermaking.
Canadian standards freeness is defined as that under the specified conditions, temperature at 20℃, 1000ml of pulp suspension at 0.3% concentration drains through a perforated screen plate into a funnel provided with a bottom and a side orifice.The discharge from the side orifice is collected in a graduated cylinder, the volume of the water flowing out of the side tube represents CFS value.
