PETG, English full name Poly real (ethylene terephthalateco - 1, 4 - cylclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate), is a kind of transparent, an amorphous type copolyester, PETG commonly used for copolymerization monomer 1, 4 - cyclohexane two methanol (CHDM, cylclohexylenedimethylene), called the polyethylene terephthalate - 1, 4 - cyclohexane 2 methyl ester.It is the product of ester exchange condensation of three monomers, namely, terephthalic acid (PTA), ethylene glycol (EG) and 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM). Compared with PET, there are more 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol comonomers and more ethylene glycol comonomers than PCT. Therefore, the performance of PETG is quite different from that of PET and PCT.PETG plate has outstanding toughness and high impact strength. Its impact strength is 3~10 times that of modified polyacrylates, and it has a wide processing range, high mechanical strength and excellent flexibility. Compared with PVC, PETG plate has high transparency, good gloss, easy printing and environmental protection advantages.
