A. Introduction:
The plastic smoke density combustion testing equipment is a new type of test equipment for measuring smoke density according to the technical conditions specified in the standards EN 45545-2 and ISO5659.2-2006.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the specific optical density of smoke generated by the burning of plastics, and the maximum specific optical density is the test result. It is used to assess the smoke performance of plastics under specified conditions.
The whole instrument consists of a closed test chamber, a photometric measuring system, a radiation cone, a combustion system, an igniter, a test box, a bracket, a temperature measuring instrument and a smoke density testing software; the circuit is developed by a single chip microcomputer, and has high technical content and stable performance.
Suitable for all plastics, this instrument is also suitable for the evaluation of other materials (such as rubber, textile coverings, painted surfaces, wood and other materials), and is widely used in the plastics industry, solid materials industry production plants and research and testing units.

C. Structures:
1. Test chamber: The front door is equipped with a window and an opaque visor that can block the window. The bottom of the square box is equipped with a blasting aluminum foil to prevent overpressure, and the top is equipped with a pressure regulating device inside the box.
2. Inner dimensions: height 914 ± 3mm, width 914 ± 3mm, depth 610 ± 3mm;
3. Outer dimensions: height 1680mm, width 1450mm, depth 850mm (this size is for reference only)
4. Material: 1.5mm steel plate, baking white rice electrostatic paint, black paint inside
5. Photoelectric measurement system:
5.1 Light source: 6.5V incandescent lamp, light wavelength 400~750nm.
5.2 Receiver: Silicon photocell, the light transmittance is 0% for no light, and the light transmittance is 100% without obstruction.
6. Radiation cone:
6.1 Radiation cone: It consists of a heating element with a rated power of 2600W, which can provide 10KW/m2~50KW/m2 radiation intensity at the center of the sample surface.
6.2 Radiation cone heater: power supply transformer power 3000W, independent single-phase isolation transformer temperature controller, thyristor control
6.3 Heat flow meter: a flat area with a measuring range of 50 kw/m2 and a receiving radiation area of 10 mm, with water cooling
6.4 Smoke Density Flammability Test apparatus Igniter: The igniter nozzle is made of Φ4.0mm aperture copper tube, and the flame length and horizontal measurement are 30mm.
7. Combustion system: consists of a pressure regulating valve, a filter, a regulating valve flow meter, and a burner.
7.1 Gas is propane with a purity of 95% or more
7.2 Burner: consists of an igniter and a nozzle. The nozzle is at a horizontal position 10 mm above the upper surface of the specimen and placed at the center of the specimen.
