Jujube seed, deciduous shrub or small tree, 1 to 3m tall, branches with straight and curved spines. Leaves alternate, oblong to round frame lanceolate, 2 ~ 3.5cm long, 6 ~ 12mm wide, blunt apex, serrate edge, base out of three veins. Flowers yellow-green, usually 2 ~ 3 clusters in leaf axils; Calyx sign, petal and stamen were all 5. Ovarian superior, 2-loculed, buried in disk, stigma 2-lobed. Drupe small, oblong or nearly round, dark red, sour taste, both ends of the stone is often blunt. Flowering period from April to May, fruiting period in September. Born in the sun or dry hillside, plain, roadside. Mainly produced in Hebei, Shaanxi, Henan, Liaoning.
